Abstract

|
|
Lymphocele is an underdiagnosed and insufficiently recognized complication of pelvic lymphadenectomy for gynecologic malignancies. Although most lymphoceles are found incidentally and asymptomatic, complicated lymphoceles can delay the adjuvant treatment and consequently compromise the success of cancer treatment. Until now, there has been considerable investigations on the prevention of lymphocele using surgical or non-surgical methods. This review suggests effective preventive methods with literature basis.
